Welcome to ISOA - the Illinois Sports Owners Association, a club for Triumph owners and enthusiasts.

Feel free to take a look though the back issues of our award-winning newsletter, glance at some of the photos of club activities, or read any of the tech articles that are included here. Our club prides itself on providing a wide range of activities throughout the year. Some of our annual events, a few of which date back for decades, include: The Big Bash – our annual awards banquet usually held in January, an annual bowling party, TR Fore - a golf outing, White Trash Nite – an evening at a local stock car track, Drive-In movie night, our yearly Chilifest held around St Patrick’s Day, and our spring and fall campouts. We also host a series of hands-on technical sessions throughout out the year. Typical topics include transmission, rear hubs, differentials, carburetors, and distributors, along with our spring tune-up clinic.

Our club meetings are usually held on the first Sunday of the month at Mack’s Golden Pheasant, just west of the intersection of Routes 83 & 64 in Elmhurst, IL. The meetings begin around 7:00 PM, but feel free to come early and have a beer and get to know some of our members before the proceedings begin.

Please enjoy looking through our website. If you have any questions, comments, concerns, or great thoughts about becoming part of ISOA, please feel free to contact me.

2011 ISOA President

Welcome to ISOA

Welcome the Illinois Sports Owners Association web site. We are a group of Chicagoland Triumph sportscar enthusiasts numbering as of this writing [September 2009], over 200 members. Although most of us are residents of the area, we have members from across the country on our current roster. Our organization dates back some forty years and is one of the oldest groups of its type in the country. The club actually originated as a chapter of the factory sponsored Triumph Sports Owners Association, hence the club name, which does not include any mention of Triumphs in it – apparently to keep the riff raff out.
